Indianapolis Like-Minded Link Ups
LOCAL ACTION. REAL CONVERSTATIONS. COLLECTIVE CARE.
Community IS the action.
I originally started hosting casual business networking events alongside Mackenzie of Maple Layne Market in February 2023 to help introverted business owners connect and network without the blazers or pressure.
After the election in November 2024, Mackenzie and I looked at each other and said, “We have to do something.”
Like-Minded Link Ups are now about COMMUNITY: gathering to talk honestly, support local organizations, and remind each other that showing up still matters.
It’s not about expertise. It’s about care, consistency, and local action.
This space exists because of the many friends, local business owners, and community members who have stepped in to support, host, and show up alongside us.
Our Like-Minded Link Ups are casual, come-as-you-are gatherings for people who are craving community, clarity, and connection during a time that feels heavy, confusing, and honestly scary for many of us.
We gather to connect with other humans who get it. People who want to understand what’s happening in our country, support marginalized communities, and figure out what meaningful, local action can actually look like right now. There’s space to ask questions, share resources, talk through what you’re feeling, and leave with tangible next steps instead of more overwhelm.
These meet-ups are intentionally unfancy and uncomplicated. No tickets. No fees. No dress code. Just people coming together with honesty, care, and consistency.
🫶 A built-in fundraiser
Each event supports a local Indianapolis or Indiana-based nonprofit or organization serving marginalized communities and those who need support right now. Attendees can donate during the event or afterward, and every dollar makes a real, local impact.
🫶 A truly safe space
This is a place to ask questions, learn, share concerns, and be validated without judgment. Many of us are navigating fear, grief, anger, and uncertainty, and this space allows for all of it. Tears happen. Hugs happen. Supportive nods happen. You do not have to carry this alone.
🫶 Collective giving
Mackenzie, owner of Maple Layne Market, donates 10% of event sales to the featured cause each month. My business, Be Social Consulting, also matches that 10% donation, doubling the impact of our community’s support.
If you’ve been waiting for a sign to get involved, to feel less alone, or to find a way to help that actually feels doable, this is it.
